Uniform Requirement
The Boy Scouts of America has always been a uniformed body. Its uniforms help to create a sense of belonging. They symbolize character development, citizenship training, and personal fitness. Wearing a uniform gives youth and adult members a sense of identification and commitment.
Effective January 16, 2012, HKIS Administration approved Cub Scouts to wear their Class A uniform on days when they have den meetings or den activities. Cub Scouts found to be wearing BSA t-shirts or other BSA apparel will be asked to change into school uniform.
Please note that the Class A uniform consists of:
To be clear, boys may not wear cub scout t-shirts etc.
We will also adhere to this for our Pack Meetings, thus ensuring there is very little confusion. T-shirts etc. are only to be worn for hikes, beach-clean-up and camping.
